Yukoners embrace winter as a time of the year to find warmth from within and in others.

The territory is blanketed in snow by the end of October through to April. Our tours are offered in March, an optimum time to enjoy the beauty of crisp, invigorating mountain air and the return of afternoon sun. Despite our location just north of the 60th parallel, winters in the southern part of the territory can be quite temperate. Our proximity to the Pacific Gulf Stream and warm Chinook winds that filter through the mountains combine to create a moderate climate.
